John Metaxas has returned to the legal profession after more than two decades as a journalist, broadcaster and communications executive. His law practice draws on this varied experience.

As Chief Corporate Communications and Government Affairs Officer at E*TRADE, Mr. Metaxas counseled the CEO on all matters regarding interaction with the news media and created messaging related to corporate strategy, investor relations, crisis communications, interactions with regulators and executive compensation.

For more than a decade at CNN and CNBC, Mr. Metaxas reported on the rise and fall of the financial markets and major financial news events. He anchored several news programs, including "Your Money," CNN's weekly look at personal finance issues. His reports appeared internationally on all of CNN's networks, most notably on the program "Moneyline with Lou Dobbs." He has reported live from the Nasdaq MarketSite and the floor of the New York Stock Exchange.

Mr. Metaxas covered the 1988 presidential campaign as a reportorial producer for ABC News, and wrote about legal trends as a staff reporter and legal editor of The National Law Journal. He has reported on several major legal proceedings as a network correspondent, including the Michael Milken sentencing hearings and the Martha Stewart, Tyco and HealthSouth prosecutions.
